Consignor Information

Entering your consignor information correctly is very important, ESPECIALLY YOUR CONSIGNOR NUMBER. Supplying the correct information helps to ensure sold items are credited to the correct consignor.  If you are unsure of your consignor number, see the example below.

A-444-XDG is the consignor# for this person (image below). Your own consignor# is printed on all of your tags and also appears in your account when you log into the JBF tagging site. In the image below, the Consignor Number is circled in Red.

If you don't know your consignor#, please don't guess or make one up. Do not enter your name, phone#, etc. in the consignor# field. Familiarize yourself with your consignor#. You will need it to drop off, pickup, and have questions answered about your account.

Consignor Fee/Drop-Off

Wednesday, April 23rd by appointment

Consignor Fee is $20. 

Please choose a drop-off slot below. Please leave at least 60-90 minutes for drop-off, as you will be putting your items on the sales floor. If you have more than 250 items, please DO NOT select the last slot of the day. 

We have a NEW option - Express Drop-Off. If you have tagged and organized your items, all of your items are marked REDUCE and DONATE, and you'd like someone else to put them on the sales floor. We have a very limited number of slots. Choose Express Drop-off below, and agree to the specific terms. There is an additional cost for this service.


Unsold Items

  • If you chose to donate your unsold items when you entered and printed your item tags, you're all set. We work with several non-profit organizations whose mission is to serve those in need. You can feel good, knowing that your unsold items will be used and loved by other women, men, and children who appreciate your generosity.
  • If you chose not to donate all of your unsold items when you entered and printed your tags, you must choose an appointment time below to pick up your unsold items.

Please Note, items having tags that show they are to be donated will be donated even if you check here that you are picking them up. This form is for you to make an appointment to pick up your items, it in no way changes what you have printed on your tag.

Pick-Up

PICK UP:  Sunday, April 27th, 9:00 pm-10:00 pm and Monday, April 28th, 8:30 am - 9:00am

Please note, you cannot pick-up early. We need to complete the sort, to best get items back to the sellers that they belong to, so NO ONE may pick-up before we are done. If, we do finish sort early, we will post in the consignor group on Facebook. Also, we can really use your help with sort, so that we can complete sort on time. Please sign up for a helper shift to earn some extra money in your consignor check.

You do not need to come to pick up, if you are donating all items.  Any remaining items are donated to our charity Partners on April 28th at 9:01am.

  • As a Consignor, you are entitled to a Free Pass to our Presale on Thursday, April 24th - 10:00am- 8:00pm. This allows you to shop before the public and gives you access to the best selection of items. You may bring up to 2 guests.
  • As a Consignor, you are entitled to a Free Pass to our Half-Price Presale on Saturday, April 26th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. You may bring up to 2 Guests.

NOTE: Our Pre-sale tends to get crowded. If you can avoid bringing children under the age of 14, we appreciate it. We understand if this is not possible. Infants in Carriers are always allowed.

  • Consignors dropping off more than 500 items should NOT pick the last drop-off slot of the day.

  • Consignor checks will be emailed to the email address you use on your tagging account. I understand that checks will be emailed within 2 weeks after the last day of the sale and that I need to deposited/transact the check within 60 days to avoid a reissue fee of $35.


  • The best way to let others know about the sale is YOU!
    Please say yes to passing out referrals cards to your friends and family! We will mail you the cards and you put your name on them then pass them out. They are good for new consignors and shoppers!! We will collect them at the door and pick one referrer who'll receive an extra 10% on their sold items!

Consignor Waiver

Please read the Consignor Waiver and click the "I have read and agree to the terms above" box to indicate your agreement.

I am participating in the Just Between Friends Consignment Sale Event as a Consignor and/or Team Member and am an independent contractor in regard to selling my items.

I understand and accept that Just Between Friends is not responsible for fire, loss, theft or damage to my items.

I understand that JBF San Mateo is only a broker or agent for the Consignor. JBF San Mateo has no obligation to pay for unsold items. Title possession remains with the Consignor.

I understand there is a $20 Consignor Fee which is payable in advance when making a Drop-off Appointment.

I understand that a Drop-off Appointment is required, and available on a First-come First-served basis.

I understand that I will earn 60% of my gross items I offer for sale.

I understand that Consignors who help (team members) for a minimum of 4 hours for set up or for sort/breakdown, may earn a higher percentage of her/his gross items offered for sale.

I will review the latest "Your Guide to Selling" with JBF San Mateo on the "How to Sell" page on the JBF San Mateo website to ensure that items are appropriate for the upcoming sale and that you adhere to item LIMITS, as they can change from sale to sale.

I understand that if I am selling furniture taller than 27", it may require that we sell it with an Earthquake Strap. If so, and an appropriate earthquake strap is not provided, I will be charged $10 from my consignor check to cover the cost of the strap.

I understand that all tags must be printed on white card stock that is at least 65lb or higher. Tags printed on paper tags could be pulled off the sales floor as paper tags typically do not stay attached to the item. If using safety pins, please do not tape over the safety pins as that can damage the garment. Whether attaching tags with safety pins or tagging gun, the tag should be attached only through the original tag on the garment or through a seam so not to cause a hole in the item. Do not use a tagging gun and puncture the front of the garment, it will damage the item.

I understand that clothing and shoes going through Inspection at Drop off which is deemed "no-thank-you" are available for me to take home. No-thank-you items left in building the day of your Drop off appointment are automatically donated. We are not able to save or hold these no-thank-you items.

I understand that items that are stained, broken, missing pieces, not to JBF standards, beyond the category limit for an area or missing batteries will be rejected at the discretion of JBF Team Staff. Upon double verification, for items that are removed from the floor, all consignors receive 3 "grace" pulled items, then beyond the 3, there will be a $.50 per item fee.

I understand that Consignor Pick up (of unsold items you choose not to donate) is on Sunday & Monday April 27th (9:00p-10:00p) & April 28th, 2025 (8:30a-9:00a).

I understand that any item(s) not picked up by 9:01AM on Monday, April 28th, 2025, will be donated to one of our JBF Charity Partners.

Consignors will be admitted at their registered pickup time and up to 15 minutes past that time.

I understand that as a condition of selling items in a Just Between Friends Consignment Sale, I represent the following to be true and correct:

1) I am the owner of the items to be sold and I have full authority to sell the items offered by me for sale; and
2) Each item offered for sale by me is in good operating condition, reasonable wear and tear accepted, and is not broken or damaged in any way; and
3) Any repaired item was repaired by the original manufacturer or in accordance with the original manufacturer’s warranty program and
4) Each item complies with applicable law, https://cpsc.gov
5) No item is the subject of any pending or threatened recall notice or other consumer protection enforcement action; and
6) I know of no reason why any item offered for sale by me would cause injury to another.

I understand that a “star” (printed on JBF tags with any color ink) means that the item will remain at FULL PRICE throughout the sale. Tags with no star will be sold at 50% off starting at the 1/2 Price Pre Sale until the sale ends.

If I am helping at the sale, I will arrive 10 minutes early for my shift so that I can park my car and be ready to help during my full shift. If I am unable to fulfill my full team member commitment, I will TEXT Shari at 408-203-7525. I will sign in and out for every shift with Shari.

I understand that by appearing in a public venue as a shopper or consignor, JBF has permission to use my image in any JBF publicity avenue JBF San Mateo may choose. I may verbally request to not be photographed at the sale.

I understand that by providing my cell phone that I will be added to the list where I could receive informational text messages about the sale and details of the sale. I will be given the opportunity to opt out if I choose not to receive those text messages anymore.

I hereby release and hold harmless Just Between Friends, its employees, officers and vendors from and against all claims of damages and liability resulting from exposure to COVID-19 or any other contagious illness.

I am participating in an ethical manner and agree that I am not attempting to learn the business practices of JBF, operations, techniques, or any other business matters that may or may not be trademarked, registered or proprietary in any way. I am willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and will do so if asked by a representative of Just Between Friends.
